Dear Members

This is a call for help to all of you match fishermen and women who are regular attendees of both the internal and also inter club matches.

Next season after many years of loyal service to the society our competition secretary John Larouche has decided it is time to step down from his role in the committee and take a well-deserved rest. Johns years of service have been invaluable and without him we would never have been involved in any matches, in many ways he is irreplaceable but if we want to continue to offer our members match fishing we are going to have to do just that.

I therefore ask you all to consider if one of you would be prepared to take on the role of competition secretary for the society. Your duties would be to work with other local angling clubs to create the match calendar for each season and also schedule the internal club fixtures. Also to attend matches (when able) and return results to the committee and members.

Of course there will be times you cannot attend matches etc and in such cases can delegate other committee members to help, we don’t expect a 100% attendance rate and we are here to help and support you.

This is an unpaid role but we will waive your membership fee’s while you are serving as competition secretary and you can also decide for how long you are willing to carry out this role for us but ideally we are looking for at least three years from you.

If you are prepared to step up and offer your services to the club then please let us know via way of an email to info@hhdas.com or a phone call to either our Chairman Rowland Smith on 01444 230862 or our Secretary Edward Winton on 07747 868 323

Kind Regards

Ed
