Deaks Lane comprises of two ponds (top and bottom) and some excellent fishing can be had on both. Deaks Lane is one of Haywards Heath and District Angling Societies most improved coarse fisheries and has undergone extensive work over the last few years with new swims being created and reinforced including the “Box Swim” On the top lake. Also bark was put down on the track around the two ponds to allow for ease of access. The bottom pond has been re-stocked with carp in the region of 3oz to 6lb+. One of our smaller venues but popular with the match & pleasure anglers yet can also throw up the occasional bigger fish as well as a number of brown trout that have got into the water via the streams feeding it.

Tips
Standard float and feeder work well with pole being the dominant method. Carp can be caught on maggot, sweetcorn and pellets. For the roach and tench try introducing a few casters.

Map Ref. (TQ289237). Take A272 from H.H. to Ansty. At the Ansty Cross public house turn right aad then immediately right into Deaks Lane. If traveling from the A23 turn left just before the Ansty Cross public house. Travel on for about one mile passing Norris Farms on right. Decend down a steep hill and as you climb out at the top you will see a metal gate,(set back) on the right. Parking is on the right through the gate (padlocked). Please close (padlock) all gates. Deaks Lane ponds are on the left through the next gate.
