The Society has access to the north bank of the Lindfield stretch of the River Ouse. Access to the north bank is on either side of the bridge. Our fishing starts approximately 1 mile upstream from the road bridge and then continues downstream through fields and woods on below the old Pimms Lock through Paxhill Golf Course (where we can fish) and down via the field now owned by John Bastable (keeping as close to the river as possible through this field) to East Mascalls Bridge
The river runs slow for the stretch down to the lock gates and then runs fast and shallow down to East Mascalls. The depth varies above the lock gates, averaging 5ft but running much deeper in parts due to a flood relief channel. The river is very wide along this stretch and affords good access from the fields.

Tips
Best baits are conventional, from bread flake and sweet corn through to maggot, worm and caster. Ledgered feeder generally accounts for the bigger fish whilst trotting a waggler or stick float will work for the smaller species.
